According to a recent Marvel leak, Daredevil: Born Again won’t air on Disney Plus until 2025.

Daredevil: Born Again won’t air on Disney Plus until 2025.

The TV programmes Agatha and Ironheart appear to have revised release dates as well.

According to recent US Copyright Office filings, Marvel has given three of its upcoming TV shows new launch windows and release dates, along with the TV shows Agatha and Ironheart.

The reports, which were first spotted by Marvel fan account Scarlet Witch Updates and industry insider The Cosmic Circus (thanks to Reddit for the catch), suggest that a trio of Disney Plus shows will now launch between late 2024 and late 2025.

Per the filings, Agatha: Coven of Chaos will be the first of these Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) series to land on Disney’s primary streamer. The Marvel Phase 5 project, which has reportedly been renamed Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, will make its TV debut in September 29, 2024. Originally, the show was given a placeholder release window of late 2023.

The Netflix series Daredevil’s apparent soft reboot, Daredevil Born Again, was initially scheduled to premiere in early 2024. It now appears that it will join its MCU siblings on Disney Plus in January 2025. After making her MCU debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the character’s standalone adventure, Ironheart, was anticipated to be one of Marvel’s 2023 TV offerings. However,On September 3, 2025, her solo effort is most likely to appear on one of the top streaming services. MCU leakers have previously claimed that this will enable Ironheart to have closer ties to the Marvel movie Armour Wars, which is currently in the early stages of development and stars War Machine.

The second season of Loki, which debuted on Disney Plus in early October, was reportedly going to be the last Marvel TV show to air in 2023, according to rumours that first surfaced just over a month ago. The actors strike and the now-resolved writers strike, which stalled production on projects across Hollywood, reportedly led Marvel to decide to postpone many of its future TV shows.

If accurate, today’s (October 6) US Copyright Office filings give Marvel’s decision to delay the premiere of several TV shows more credence. That implies that Marvel Studios’ Echo, the miniseries with Maya Lopez that was scheduled to premiere in its entirety in late November, won’t make its debut until possibly 2024.

The recently settled and ongoing labour unrest has not only affected Marvel’s TV division. With one notable exception, the Disney subsidiary also postponed a number of films on its Phase 5 and Phase 6 slates in June.

The second season of Loki, one of the best Disney Plus series, will keep us all entertained in the interim.
